Review: I absolutely loved this book. I was able to finish it in just a few hours; it felt like a quick read but maybe I was just that interested in it. It is about Kelle Hampton’s life from the moment she has her second daughter in the hospital and she is immediately diagnosed with Down syndrome. It is a brutally honest story about her emotions and what she was thinking; about how long it took to forge a bond with her new daughter. It definitely made me cry more than a few times because of how truthful she is about how she was feeling at that time.

+I loved the honesty of the book. Kelle was so open about how hard it was to accept that her new baby had Down syndrome and she didn’t paint it all as happy and fine. I also enjoyed all the beautiful photos included in the chapters because she is also a photographer.

-It was a little hard to read about how she felt so disappointed by her daughters birth the first week or so, how she needed to get used to it, and wished she could go back to being pregnant… but those were the emotional crying parts; so overall it wasn’t bad just sad to read.
